ATM Conference in London
From June 13–14, 2017, the Lancaster Hotel in London hosted an ATMIA (ATM Industry Association) conference centered on the topic of ATMs.
SBS was represented on site, and SBS employee Günther Gschwendtner reports:
The main topic of the conference was the 50th anniversary of the ATM, which attracted extremely renowned industry representatives. Alongside experts from the banking sector and numerous hardware and software vendors, the CEOs of the two largest self-service device manufacturers, Diebold Nixdorf and NCR — Andy Mattes and Bill Nuti — were present, as was Rüdiger Voss from the European Commission. They gave talks on the future of cash and ATMs, as well as on NFC and the influence of smartphones on the banking and self-service business of the future.
Harald Flatscher, Managing Director of Payment Services Austria (PSA), informed participants about developments and successes with NFC in Austria to date. In his well-received talk, he presented SBS as a longstanding, forward-looking, and reliable partner. Given the impressive density of renowned representatives in attendance, we were especially pleased about this.
